Kids' BackPack Program saves lives
1,120 children wonder where their next meal is coming from. Students who need weekend assistance are sent home with backpacks containing two breakfasts and two lunches. In 2021 average monthly Kid-Packs were 1,040 – by 2023, 1,338 packs, a 29% increase. Currently we average 350 Kid-Packs per week; each pack costs $10, making weekly need $3,500.
